Standing up to Domestic Violence for Decades
Circa 1993, American Family Center (then known as American Family Thrift) took root in the form of a storefront thrift store on Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton, Massachusetts.
Ever since then, we have been a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to providing assistance to families and intimate partners finding it difficult to maintain a safe, secure and nurturing family unit.
Since then, our specific mission has evolved to advance a much higher level of public and social awareness surrounding this issue, while continuing to provide assistance to both victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
