Founded nearly 30 years ago, American Family Center (AFC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing and eradicating domestic violence and abuse through innovative prevention, education, and support services. We work tirelessly to empower individuals to make informed choices and to break free from the cycle of abuse, offering them the tools they need to lead safer, healthier lives.

Our approach is twofold:

1. Choices Interactive: A groundbreaking educational program that uses immersive, interactive video content to guide individuals through real-life scenarios of domestic violence. With each choice, participants learn how their actions can influence outcomes, empowering them to recognize the dynamics of control, coercion, and healthy conflict resolution. 2. Wednesday’s Woman Closet: A community-driven initiative providing essential resources like clothing, technology, and household items to survivors transitioning from shelters to independent living. We partner with local businesses and volunteers to make this support readily available to those who need it most.
