A Commercial Cart Built to Work
This is a 2003 Creative Mobile Systems Model 325 towable hot dog cart, Serial No. 1792.
Creative Mobile Systems (CMS) manufactured commercial mobile food vending equipment in Manchester, Connecticut. This Model 325 features substantial stainless-steel construction, an integrated steam-table/service area, onboard water system, sinks, insulated cold-storage compartment, propane cooking system and extensive enclosed storage.
After more than two decades, the underlying construction remains remarkably substantial.
What Others Have Said About the CMS Model 325
Independent Model 325 Commentary
In a comparison of U.S. hot dog carts, an experienced cart owner/trainer said the CMS Model 325 examples he had personally inspected were “sturdy and aged well.” He further described the CMS/CCI construction as exceptionally substantial and noted the Model 325’s two full-size steam tables and sound construction.

Water System & Maintenance
The cart incorporates onboard water tanks serving the sink system.
During previous maintenance, the tanks were removed and the surrounding insulation was renewed. We even have a photograph documenting the tank compartment while that work was underway.
Current Condition
No surprises.
This is a 23-year-old commercial cart being sold as-is, not represented as a newly restored or turnkey cart.
Rather than make cosmetic or temporary repairs immediately before selling it, we’ve documented the known items so the next owner can decide how they’d like to address them.
Known items include:
- Flexible hinge on the insulated cooler door has split and requires repair/replacement.
- One compartment-door hinge attachment/weld has separated.
- One under-storage hinge/support arm was recently found loose and should be inspected/resecured.
- Burner/pilot assembly requires service or replacement before operation.
- Registration/license-plate light has rusted off and requires replacement.
- Surface corrosion is present on portions of the trailer tongue/hardware and propane-tank/mounting area.
- Normal cosmetic wear from age and outdoor use/storage.
Prospective buyers are welcome—and encouraged—to inspect the cart before purchasing.
A Great Starting Point for the Next Operator
This could make an interesting platform for someone looking to operate at:
Fairs • Festivals • Breweries • Farmers Markets • Sporting Events • Private Events • Catering • Seasonal Locations
The Franky’s Curbside branding can go with the cart, or the next owner can give the Model 325 an entirely new identity.
Local licensing, health-department, fire, propane and vending requirements vary. The buyer is responsible for determining what is required for their intended operation.
Why Sell It Now?
Simple: plans changed and time ran out.
The cart was cleaned up in preparation for sale, but rather than spend the remainder of the vending season restoring every wear item, we’ve decided to offer it as-is and let the next owner take it from here.
That’s also why we’ve gone to the trouble of photographing it, identifying the known issues and assembling its original documentation.
